Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 29, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Melissa Intelligence Inc. (“Melissa,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, shares, stores, and protects personal information generated through our AI answering and CRM service (the “Service”). Where applicable, we act as a service provider/processor, and the subscribing business remains the controller of caller data.
1. Information we process
To provide the Service we may process: caller ID (phone number), caller name (if provided), audio recordings, AI transcripts and summaries, order and delivery information, and metadata related to the call. We do not intentionally collect sensitive data such as health information, government identifiers, or biometric data.
2. How we use information
We use information to answer calls on behalf of the Client, create transcripts and order instructions, route orders, prevent fraud, and improve accuracy of our AI systems using anonymized data. We do not use identifiable or unredacted personal information to train external third-party AI systems.
3. Consent & disclosure
Callers hear a clear disclosure that they are interacting with an AI-powered service and that the call may be recorded. By continuing the call, callers provide consent to the practices described here, in accordance with applicable law including TCPA, FCC regulations, and state privacy acts (CCPA/CPRA, VCDPA, and others).
4. Retention & your rights
We retain personal information only as long as necessary to provide the Service or comply with legal obligations. Anonymized data may be retained indefinitely. Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, delete, or correct your data — see our Data Deletion page. We do not discriminate against anyone who exercises privacy rights.
5. Security & contact
We use encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256), access controls, and authentication. No system can guarantee 100% security. For questions, contact us at hello@mymelissa.ai.
